The piece: Assembled Biwas and freshwater pearls on oxidized silver chain. These pearls are from the legendary Lake Biwa near Kyoto Japan that no longer produces pearls. Measures 20 inches in length
The provenance: Made in 1991
The story: In the very beginning, around 1990-91 we were exclusively assembling the necklaces and bracelets and earrings. In 1992 we invented our signature beading technique and started attaching stones and pearls using beaded wire studding.
